This event is open to anyone interested in Sports Marketing or Marketing for large scale events generally.

Speaker: Guilherme Guimarães, Management School Alumnus (MSc Sport Management 2008)

Guilherme (pictured below) is General Manager of Ativa Esporte, the Brazilian sports marketing consultancy, and former Director of Sports for Twitter Brazil, British Council, and Geo Eventos. He has worked on major sports projects in Brazil, including the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (and bid), the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014, Tênis Espetacular (Guga x Agassi), NBA Baskteball Show, Athina Onassis International Horse Show São Paulo. He has experience of working with multinational corporations such as Unilever, Nestlé, AND1.

He graduated originally in Advertising and Journalism (UFMG), and obtained an MSc in Sport Management from Sheffield University Management School, and is a member of the alumni board at the University of Sheffield. He is the author of academic papers and articles on sports marketing, lectures at FIA Sao Paolo and is an Atlético-MG fan.

During this expert lecture, Guilherme will provide an insight into digital marketing and marketing techniques for sports and other large events, specifically around engaging fans with FIFA 2014 World Cup and Rio 2016 Olympic.
