We welcomed alumni and guests from the Department of Economics, School of Law, and the Management School to take part in our special Quiz Night for the Sheffield Alumni in London Network series, which saw teams getting creative in the play-doh round and testing their knowledge of the Royals in our bonus jubilee round.
The evening kicked off with drinks and networking as guests took the opportunity to reconnect with classmates and staff from the University, as well making new connections and for some, it was their first ever alumni event.
Also in attendance were some of the Management School’s London-based placement students who welcomed the chance to begin building their alumni networks ahead of their graduation next year.
Hosted by our very own Ruth Stanley, Senior Philanthropy Manager for Campaigns and Alumni Relations, the quiz went down a storm! Teams enjoyed putting their general knowledge to the test, naming that tune, testing their knowledge of famous brand logos, and in honour of the Queen’s jubilee we enjoyed a bonus round quizzing team’s knowledge of the Royals.
An all-round favourite of the evening was the creative round where teams pulled out their hidden talents to create a magnificent array of play-doh safari animal masterpieces. The quiz ended with a nail-biting tie breaker, with the winning team and close runners up being awarded their prize hampers, made up of delicious local treats from Sheffield. Well done to everyone who took part!
