We're proud to welcome our newest graduates to the SUMS alumni community! At Thursday's live-streamed Prize Giving and Thank You Online Celebration, we congratulated our latest additions to the Dean's List, as well as our prize winners, our top performers on each of the degree programmes, PhD graduates and contributors including our Student Ambassadors and Student Academic Representatives.
Watch the recording of the online event in the video below to hear the accomplishments of our most outstanding graduates.
The Dean of the Management School, Professor Rachael Finn welcomed our graduates, guests and sponsors to the event. We then had the honour of hearing from financial services leader and a member of our Advisory Board Sue Douthwaite, who shared the words of wisdom and advice that she would have liked to hear at the start of her career, as well as delivering her congratulations to our students.
Professor Finn then celebrated the graduands being welcomed onto the Dean's List, before our Associate Dean of Education Fraser McLeay congratulated our prize winners, our graduating doctoral students and our top performing graduands. Our Director of UG Education Dr Robert Marchand then thanked the Management School's 2020-21 postgraduate Student Ambassadors and Student Academic Representatives for their contributions to the life of the department and the University.
Finally, our prize winners and contributors received a congratulations speech from one of our 2020 winners of The Dean's List, our MSc Occupational Psychology alumnus Callum van Dyk, who is now a Psychologist working at the UK Government Ministry of Justice. Professor McLeay closed the celebratory proceedings by raising a glass in a toast to all of our graduands at the event.
We would like to take this opportunity to say an enormous thank you to all of our wonderful speakers at the event, as well as our prize sponsors, which include the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Fretwell-Downing, Pearn Kandola, and Just Development.
We hope that you enjoy celebrating the wonderful achievements of our Management School alumni in the postgraduate class of 2021!
