About Achieve More: The State of Sheffield

The State of Sheffield is a four-day interdisciplinary module which gives students the opportunity to:

  • Engage with academics and their research;
  • Tackle some of the biggest global challenges facing society today;
  • Work across disciplines to broaden horizons and subject knowledge;
  • Develop team-working and problem-solving skills.

As part of the module, students work in groups to investigate a global issue that is currently challenging the City of Sheffield and to create an artefact that communicates their findings to a wider audience.

This year's themes:

  • Environment
  • Changing Places, Changing Times
  • Impact
  • Citizenship
